Steps to reproduce:

test case is attached see "last child bug.htm"
used css of "*:last-child" to target the select box and then set its width and background-color. background-color is succesfully set, and so is width, however if you open drop down, notice that the last option is not fully highlihghted (see attached image "last child bug.png"

summary:
If set width of a select box, one of the options does not fully highlight
 
If not last child of span, its treating the final option as last child when ti should be the select box


Actual results:

last option in the select box is not fully highlihted when open drop down


Expected results:

last option in select box should fully highlight.

Reproduced using Firefox 26, latest Nightly 29 and latest Aurora 28 on Windows 7 x64 and Ubuntu 12.04 x64.

This is kind of expected since we size the <select> to fit the widest
<option> + the width of the arrow button.  And the dropdown menu
is as wide as the <select>.

Perhaps we should just ignore any specified width on <option>?
That seems to be what IE/Chrome does, fwiw.
