This is an old wiki that is no longer in use and needs to be cleaned up.
I have CCd Angela as she was the last person to edit the Main page on this wiki.
Angela, Can you please let me know who is in charge of this wiki? We are working on spring cleaning and need to decommission a number of disparate blogs, such as this one. We have a few options if you wish to retain the content. It can be migrated to our mana wiki or another alternate as you desire.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed or who to talk to about it.
Thank You

Hi Jason,
If you are referring to https://foundationwiki.mozilla.org this is definitely still in use - we use this like MoCo uses the mana. Please do not decommission it!
If you're referring to another wiki, let me know and I will be sure to take a look.
Thanks!
Angela

Angela,
I am indeed talking about https://foundationwiki.mozilla.org. I am hoping there is a way way we can coordinate migrating the content to a new section in the mana wiki. Is this something that you think might be a possibility? We did this some time ago for the infra wiki and it is a somewhat simple matter. It would basically require a little downtime, which we can coordinate, and a change to your work-flow.
Thanks for your quick response.
Jason

I would be happy to hear more about what this would entail. This is all content that is accessible to MoFo employees only - MoCo employees do not have access to this (to avoid any confusion). Is this something we could also set up (in terms of permissions) on the Mana? happy to plan a meeting to discuss.
Thanks,
Angela

The migration is basically an export of the current data and then an import into mana. This generally works well so long as you do not have a lot of highly customized extensions or data-types. This usually requires a minimal amount of post migration editing. Small things like if you have odd subpage names like 'top::one' these would be converted to 'top_one'. These are typically outliers, but I just want to note it. At most there will be some minor edits necessary after the import to address any of these little issues.
As far as the permissions are concerned, mana is backed by LDAP so I can simply apply the same access settings in the current wiki and the access will be identical.
I am happy to discuss this in a meeting if you like. Just let me know what days or times are best for you and I will make sure that I or someone from my team can make it.
Regards

Thanks. Would be great to plan a meeting. I would also love to hear more about the mana and what the features are (in addition to how the migration would go). We'll reach out to schedule the meeting.
Thanks!

We had a meeting this morning. This wiki is in heavy use by the foundation and there are compelling reasons for maintaining it separately from corporation data. Angela will make the case with Silvie to continue to maintain this service. I will leave this bug open pending the resolution of that discussion.

Had a chat with David Ascher as well, this is on hold until the dependent bug is resolved.

I'm doing one last sweep of the staff to make sure we've got everything we need from the foundation wiki. Then I'm happy to say it can be decommissioned! Will report back here in one week.

We're prepared to have the foundation wiki (http://foundationwiki.mozilla.org/) shut down. Thanks so much for your patience while we sifted through all the pages.
