CCK 6.1 network (stub) installer supports only ftp in file download. It would be 
more desirable to have it work with both ftp and http servers in the future.

Summary: (RFE) HTTP support for network installer → HTTP support for network installer
The installer works with HTTP download too, provided the user chooses the
approprite option during download. To set the option for http download:
- During N6.1 setup, in the screen "Netscape 6(6.1) Setup - Download Options"
click on "Proxy settings" button. 
- Choose the radio button "Use HTTP for downloading files"

Note: Pls. do not try using url http://jazz/users or similar ones, we get a
network error.

Any way for CCK to configure N6 so that this HTTP proxy is the default for a
customized N6?
The above steps I mentioned was just to avoid a CCK respin. We can configure N6 
so that HTTP proxy is the default for a customized N6.1 by making changes to the 
code. That's why the bug is still open. However, these changes will only go into 
the next build and we can avoid a CCK respin just to correct this error.
