From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.08 [en] (WinNT; U ;Nav) BuildID: 2001080110 I clicked on this link from http://www.bluesnews.com and it froze Mozilla on two seperate occasions. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load this page http://ebweb.westwood.ea.com/preview/html/desdiary/glimpse.html Actual Results: All Mozilla windows are frozen. The animation in the upper right has stopped, they no longer respond to user input or redraw at all. Expected Results: Display the page correctly. Surprisingly, it also freezes Netscape 4.7 cold. As expected, IE doesn't suffer from this problem
WFM. I cannot reproduce this on Build 20010820, using windows 2000. I have tried directly opening the webpage you have listed, and also have tried by clicking on the link from the bluesnews.com page. Right now, I have both instances open and running fine in Mozilla as I write this. I notice that on the left of the page (that you are trying to load) includes a Flash object which may be the source of your problems. Try updating the flash plugins, or try running with a newer build of Mozilla. Why it would crash in both netscape 4.7 and Mozilla is puzzling, unless the Flash plugins are the same in both (and are really old or corrupt). Please let us know if you continue to have the problem!
I am seeing this on build 2001082909 (August 30th I believe). The page loads most of the way -- but then the browser becomes unresponsive. You can still move your mouse but you can't use the UI or interact with the webpage. The browser doesn't crash -- it just becomes unuseable and usually windows brings up the program is not responding dialog ---
it uses flash, not seeing win98 20001082703
win 98 2001083103, no crash as well
wfm on Win2k with build 2001090408 with Flash plug-in.
WFM 2001090703 on Win2k. As per my own experience and other comments, marking WFM. Reporter: Please try a more recent build and reopen this bug if it still occurs for you: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/
