dunno where it goes to..starting with browser general worked on 0817 trunk..not on 0821 trunk winNT, 98 steps; go to the url above click on 'download now' button nothing happens
seen on mac 0821 trunk too. OS: ALL

Ah, I see, so this is a bug!. I think there is something wrong with cookie handling. Even with "Accept ALL Cookies" and" Warn before Accepting" turned on, I do not get cookie warning in this build. Mac0S9 082108 trunk.

Hmm, it is unlikely a cookie problem, since clearing cookie sites brought Mozilla to ask for cookies again. Is this yet another referrer problem or something to do with secure site? I have been trying with Apple's download site, and it always brings <html><body></body></html> blank page. The above URL and Apple's download page both try to access akamai server.
It seems to me that there is something wrong with MIME detection or rather the saving dialog which should appear. I can't d/l any files by just clicking a link I have to right-click and click on save link as. It happens everywhere.
It happens on http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest with both .zip and .exe files. (Win98)
This problem is also encountered while downloading the beatnik installer from www.beatnik.com
