Exploring some UX layout options to help Gavin out with this section.
Uploading two pdfs – v1 with initial thoughts and v2 with refined layouts.
Am liking page 3 of v2.pdf with the Edit button at the top left of the event title, the larger type date/location details, and the external event link as a really clear call-to-action button (language for that button tbd, depending on how we ask for it in the add an event form).
