If you change the maxrows param in the URL to something big enough, then you do get bug#915 when sorting by bug number. (I tried 3000, and it found it). So I guess the question is: should the sorting by bug_no only process the top maxrows duplicates?
Yes, it should. This is a known bug which myk pointed out yesterday. I'll get to it in the 2.16 timeframe; I think I know what the fix is. Basically, what people really want is for the maxrows column to be "top X bugs by dup count" and then, once you've got that list, for the columns to sort just that list. Right? Gerv
Summary: bugnumber ordering looses content → Resorting duplicates page doesn't sort visible list
Target Milestone: --- → Bugzilla 2.16
Component: Bugzilla → Reporting/Charting
Product: Webtools → Bugzilla
Version: Bugzilla 2.13 → 2.13
We are currently trying to wrap up Bugzilla 2.16. We are now close enough to release time that anything that wasn't already ranked at P1 isn't going to make the cut. Thus this is being retargetted at 2.18. If you strongly disagree with this retargetting, please comment, however, be aware that we only have about 2 weeks left to review and test anything at this point, and we intend to devote this time to the remaining bugs that were designated as release blockers.
Target Milestone: Bugzilla 2.16 → Bugzilla 2.18
Fixed by bug 119635 - you now have an option to resort the entire or the visible list. Gerv
