GIF89 (Transparent GIFS) files when chosen as a background leave a graphic 
relic of the drop down menus. This occurs only with transparent GIF files. The 
page must be refreshed for the graphic relic to go away. 

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new composer page
2. locate a GIF89 file on the internet (The WNBA logo @ NBA.COM is one) save 
file to desktop
3. Click on format and then click on Page Colors and Background
4. Click on choose files and navigate to the desktop and choose file, and 
click ok
5. Open the any of the drop down menus on the screen then close it

Actual Results:  There is always a graphic relic left on the background of the 
menu that was opened

Expected Results:  no shadow should be left

If a background has been chosen previously then this will not occur

Note:  When the transparent image is initially selected, the transparent part of
the GIF appears gray and exhibits the above behavior.  Switching to preview mode
gets rid of the problem.  (Even after switching back)

This works for me on Win 2k using build 2001111603.
