User Story: As an early adopter of Synthetic APKs, I would like to be notified when the switch to production servers occurs so that I can reinstall my web apps. Description: Nightly and Aurora users will be able to download synthetic APKs signed by a development server in Fx 29. Once the production server is in place, the users will have to re install the app to get updates etc... Some of the potential ideas discussed were: - Runtime Identifies when the switch to production happens and notifies the user to download the app again from the marketplace when the user launches the app - Potentially the solution developed here could also be used to provide a way to message users with non apk web apps to migrate over to the Synthetic APKs
Finkle - Will this story be answered with development work in your area? Are those tasks open? (Can you have them block this bug for visibility's sake ;-) Thanks thanks!!!

This sounds like something that would be in Fennec. Either myself or Myk would push it through. I don't think any work bug is filed for it yet.

status? how do we push forward, cancel or close?

I am leaning to just closing this bug. We are on the production server for all channels. Initial uptake seems to have been low. Anyone else have strong feelings on this?

I strongly feel that you're leaning in the right direction.
