This is an issue with the WDS server. I mentioned it to Q on Friday and he talked to Mark about fixing it.

Generally with the that error message just click yes, and it will continue to install. How long has this machine been in this state? I ask because i hit yes and it was asking for WDS location. Which was an issue that was previously resolved. I restarted the install and now it is appear to be working?

Actually ended up failing again and back at the same screen. Even though last night it was actually installing.

This may be due to fw1.releng.scl3 being overloaded..

I ran into the issue with it asking for the share when I tried to install it last... Thursday. I asked Q to take a look at it on Friday, and he said he had talked to you about whatever the issue was.

I suspect Q was thinking maybe it had something to do with the boot.ini file because i have previously been working with it. I am diving back into it this morning.

2 things were happening here. In the BIOS the machine default boot was set to network, so when the machine would start installing 2008 and then on the expected reboot the machine would then go back to the network instead of the local disk. Without human interaction the network boot will default to the x86 production environment. Which is currently not available for this vlan because i am working on and off on getting this vlan to default to the x64 production environment. The bios setting has been changed, and it appears that the machine has installed through.
