Notes from our kickoff call:

Goal: interactive onboarding tour similar to Australis tour
Tour is in product pages now, not webpages

There is more planned for future versions of in product UI
Yuan and Michael leading the design and dev of in product tour

Mozilla.org - build first run page experience
Also something for users not on Windows 8

Existing SUMO firstrun page for Windows 8:

It is not possible to detect in Fx whether user is in product mode 
could we make the firstrun or whatsnew changes in product? yes. discuss with Gavin.

Regroup with creative and UX to discuss what to do on /firstrun or /whatsnew

Schedule is tight especially for l10n
Metro will launch with all Fx desktop locales ~70.

That was only a temporary URL - the new ones are e.g:

Note the URL structure may change again slightly, once we finalize.

There's a PR currently open for this change here:

The URL scheme will probably settle on being firefox/VERSION/win8/firstrun/ and firefox/VERSION/win8/whatsnew

I'll keep demo 3 updated to reflect this when it changes, but hopefully we can get this pushed to prod shortly.

Just got word that Fx for Metro is not launching with Fx 28 March 18. Closing WONTFIX until more details.
