Description

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131205075310

Steps to reproduce:

Tried to find apps

Actual results:

Had to click menu->tools->apps

Expected results:

It should appear in two places:

1. On the home page/tab there should be an "Apps" icon

2. In the menu (under the three dots) it should have "Apps"
It's in the same spot as add-ons which people are finding without issue. We're also adding a default bookmark.

Yes, but there is a big difference in the meaning/context of these two as well as their knowledge.

1. Addons apply to and change firefox (the app you're in) directly, they are tools that you use on/with firefox

2. Apps do not apply to the firefox app and live as completely separate apps (from a UI perspective), they are *not* tools, but full apps

3. Addons are a very well known part of Firefox, Apps are not. So discovery of Addons is a foregone conclusion, apps are unknown to the majority of FF users
Going through bug-mail, forgot to mention here that Ian mentioned to me on IRC last week that there might be plans to better promote apps in the future.

Apps are now installed as normal APKs on Android. The first place to look for installed apps is in the Android app launcher. You can add a shortcut to your Android home screen, like any other native app too.

We may remove the about:apps feature from Firefox.

You're referring to installed apps. This bug is referring to the part of the process where a user has not yet installed an app but might be interested (or encouraged) to find and install marketplace apps.
