Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131206152524 Steps to reproduce: 1. wget https://www.eff.org/files/https-everywhere-3.4.5.xpi (latest stable release of HTTPS Everywhere) 2. unzip the xpi, edit install.rdf to (1) remove update key and url and (2) change Seamonkey's maxVersion to 2.27 (because 3.* is invalid). 3. re-zip the xpi and submit it at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/addon/submit/2 Actual results: The page shows an error message: "Your add-on failed validation with 1 error. Duplicate UUID found." Expected results: We (EFF) have never submitted HTTPS Everywhere to AMO, so the upload error makes no sense. Report submitted by Yan Zhu (yan at eff dot org), HTTPS Everywhere maintainer.
Component: Untriaged → Add-on Validation
Product: Firefox → addons.mozilla.org
Version: 26 Branch → unspecified
The add-on was listing on AMO for a while, years ago. It is currently disabled, and owned by this account: https://addons.mozilla.org/user/schoen/ If you have access to that account, you can just submit a new version.
