The word "Firefox" is not the wordmark, it's just a text in Open Sans.
The logo and "Firefox" are flipped on LTR pages:

Let's use the real logo & wordmark.

The original design had 'Firefox' in regular text, rather than the wordmark, but that could have been for position only. If it was deliberate (maybe to give more emphasis to the download button, since the wordmark does draw the eye a bit more?) we may want to leave it as-is. CCing Ty if he wants to weigh in on the design implications (screenshot attached).
I think it looks good with the wordmark, though it doesn't quite align with the the adjacent text.

Using the regular text was deliberate.
John, Matej, or Ty can provide the full rationale.
Marking as won't fix.

Lets try moving down the button 10-12 pixels. That should help with creating a centered illusion.

So do you agree with using the real wordmark?

I do.
Im not sure who removed the wordmark, and placed text on the left side, but it definitely doesnt follow brand guidelines.
Do we know which of our other localized sites, that are read from right to left, use the logo in the same way.

+1 for using the real wordmark. That lockup shouldn't change, even in RTL situations.

Okay, I'll resend my pull request and fix the button alignment.

Here's a screenshot of the Arabic RTL homepage. I have tested the layout with various locales and resolutions.
