User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131205075310 Steps to reproduce: Started Firefox stable and opened a new window using Ctrl-N I was already logged in on Facebook. Opened https://www.facebook.com/BigbandBlastNL. Actual results: When the page was done loading the previous Firefox window got focus. The current window is behind the previous window Expected results: When done loading the page the window should remain focus. I was able to reproduce this on Nightly as well.
Happens as well when opening GitHub: https://github.com/marijnh/codemirror/issues
I'm frequently seeing that the active Fx window is losing focus and another Fx is taking it. I don't have steps to reproduce that (yet) though.
As this isn't limited (comment #1, #2) to the initially reported 'Facebook windows' (comment #0) I'm changing the summary accordingly.
Summary: facebook will re-focus previous window → Active window losing focus to other Fx window
Judging by the variety of ways in which bug 768802 can manifest, this might be another one? There's no mention of flash in it though. I remember at least that I've seen this (i.e. what I wrote in comment #2) when enabling the flash plugin from the door hanger panel. Could you check if the problem goes away when disabling the Flash plugin, Peter?

The problem remains when flash is turned off.

Hi reporter, I haven't managed to reproduce this issue on the latest release(43.0.4) nor latest Nightly(46.0a1). If I open any new window and after the pages loads, it doesn't lose focus User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 Build ID: 20160105164030 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0 Build ID: 20160107030235 Can you please try to reproduce this on the latest release(43.0.4) and latest Nightly(46.0a1) and provide the results? When doing this, please try to reproduce with a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even in safe mode, as some of this issues may be caused by third party installed add-ons or custom settings(https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems). Thanks, Paul.

Since the reporter didn't provide the requested information, I will mark this issue as RESOLVED INCOMPLETE. If you still encounter this problem, please feel free to reopen this bug, or file a new one.
