Created attachment 8369194 [details] pinbug-in-ffbeta.jpg User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140127194636 Steps to reproduce: I've actualized Firefox to Firefox Beta in Windows 7 32bit Actual results: I can't pin the Firefox shortcut in the Windows taskbar. When I do right-click, It shows a "tasks" menu without "pin to the taskbar" option. Expected results: The "tasks" menu must show a "pin to the taskbar" option, like other programs do.
Thanks for taking time to report a bug! Does this still happen with the latest Firefox stable version (28.0)? Also: it should be probably assigned to Component → Shell Integration. Thanks, Francesca
It is an operating system feature, probably not Firefox's fault. Please see: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/taskbar-not-workingpin-to-taskbar-option-gone/5657ecf8-81c8-4c36-afeb-12f37dd61189 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/cant-pin-icons-to-taskbar-other-suggestions-not/dca1be89-7895-4e00-987d-f027264ebc32 etc.
Component: Untriaged → Shell Integration
The error is apparently solved with the last update of Firefox Beta 29 and Firefox Stable 28
