Boot2Gecko 1.3.0.0-prerelease 20140201010002 on Keon After setting up a gmx.net mail account as POP3 (had already added one IMAP gmx.net account and one IMAP Gmail account), the screen is black except for the header.

The folder is empty on the server, so maybe that's the reason.

I just tested this in Nightly (which should have the same characteristics for this purpose) and couldn't reproduce it with an empty folder, suggesting it's some other issue. Without more info it might be difficult to reproduce; could you submit the logcat output per https://wiki.mozilla.org/Gaia/Email/RequiredBugInfo ?

The blackness looks like an APZ bug we were seeing elsewhere. It's possible we are showing black text that says "this folder is empty", but the background is ending up black too. Try turning off APZ for e-mail and retrying / redisplaying. I think the blackness bug is currently being tracked in graphics since it's arguably a regression.

Yes, after turning off APZ, the background has changed to white.

Moving to wfm as the dupe is unrelated to the original bug.
