App in 13th slot not shown on home screen

(Reporter: msandberg, Unassigned)
Details
Tested on 1.4.0.0.-prerelease (master) from Jan 30
Observed behavior:
Three rows of apps and collections (12 slots) used on home screen, went to smart collection and long pressed to save app to home screen. Confirmation toast comes up from bottom saying the app was added, but it is not showing on the home screen. When trying to add it again a message shows saying it was already added to home screen. This behavior is consistent when installing apps from Marketplace.
When deleting the 12th app icon, the 13th shows up in the 12th spot. It is essentially as if there is a 13th, invisible slot on the home screen.
Expected behavior: When saving an app to home screen (or downloading from Marketplace) it shows up on the home screen.

I'm still seeing this behavior on the 02/03/14 master build.
Just realized that I'm not actually on a Helix (which I thought) though, or a Buri / Hamachi either. Will try to recreate next time I'm on a Helix. Sorry about that.

Okay - sorry again, apparently I had old information about devices. I *am* on a Helix and I'm still seeing this behavior on the 02/03/14 master build.
Thanks for your patience.

I'm also seeing the last slot in the homescreen empty in both Peak and Nexus S. Installing more apps from the Marketplace puts them in subsequent screens and moving one in the first one, just swaps it with the last in that screen, leaving the last spot empty again. I also noticed that only the first screen has this problem on Nexus S (local build), whereas every screen is like that on the Peak (Geeksphone-provided nightly build). I assume the different resolution of these devices (Helix, Peak, Nexus S) than the rest must be relevant somehow.

I noticed the same behavior on the Flame - using a master build from just last week.

Is there anything I can do to help, so this bug makes progress?

Is this bug still reproducible on latest master or 1.4? A similar bug seems to be fixed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1008033 .

Maybe this fancy diagram explains the situation a bit better: http://dpaste-bkero.paas.allizom.org/hInw/raw

I just flashed gecko & gaia master to my Flame device. I no longer observe this bug, so closing out as a dupe.
