David, how's the string composed to show the names of the internal keyboards?
I'm wondering if dutch has a way to tweak it to "Number (builtin)" or so.

I'm not familiar with that part of the keyboard. I think the relevant code is at apps/settings/js/keyboard.js:307
It looks like the ':' is hardcoded. I think that the 'built-in keyboard' app name is localized in apps/keyboard/manifest.webapp, or however you localize app names.
And I'm guessing that the layout name is not localized at all. This isn't really a problem for language names but is presumably an issue for "Number". We need to special case that, I think. (There is a keyboardType-number string in the locale file, but it is used for something different.)
Axel: so to answer your question, you can't tweak it in that way without intervention in the JavaScript.
Jan: do you have thoughts on this?

We should just fix the string in Dutch if possible. I wouldn't go for 'Ingebouwd toetsenbord' in the first place I think. F.e. Googles version of Android uses 'Google-toesenbord' in Dutch. Maybe we can do something with that.
Changing the string to 'Number (ingebouwd)' wouldn't make it very clear either to the user I think. Flagging Ton who did the localization for Dutch to see if we can make a nicer translation.

Would using ‘Ingebouwd’ (Built-in) only do the trick? If so, need to know whether to change name or description in the manifest file. Also see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=931208#c10 .

We've stopped shipping Firefox OS for phones. Thus resolving this as WONTFIX.
