Also: the home page buttons for "Downloads, Bookmarks, History..." appear but do nothing when clicked.  Unsure if related.

Could you look over Bug 963979 and confirm if yours is a duplicate of it or not ? The mentioned issue marked as Resolved - Wontfix. So if it's a duplicate than I will close this issue as duplicate.
