Steps to reproduce:
gmaul has a new feature to show desktop notification without any extension but seem not to be working on firefox 30 and osx 10.9.1 when a new message arrive nothing happen!
Actual results:
desktop notification for new mail should show up

Did you enable the notifications in the email settings ?
WFM on nightly 30.0a1(2014-02-10), mac os x 10.8.5

The notifications work fine for me on Nightly, 10.9 also. Note that Gmail issues a notification only for some of your emails, not for all.
