Details
I have a folder (called Tandemliste) with a Filter on it (mail moving into this
one).
Renaming it to "Tandem" it worked fine (everything still in i)t.
When I rerenamed it back to "Tandemliste" I get "folder already exists".
And when I restart Mozillla I have a empty "Tandemliste"-folder, and the
renamend "Tandem"-folder with entries.

Reporter: is this a folder under Local Folders, or an IMAP folder?
I'm not able to reproduce this on IMAP or local folders, regardless of whether
the folder is
associated with a filter or not. I have not used renaming with different case,
as is the problem in bug 92165.

Using 08-28-05-trunk build.
I cannot reproduce this problem on IMAP Folder & Filter as following:
1)I can rename the folder back to the original folder name on IMAP on the fodler
pane.
2)Even I used Filter, after I rename the folder, the Filter functionality
performed as expect.
3)After I renamed back to the original folder name...the Filter functionality
performed as expect result.
Which build are you using? Are you using IMAP?

using today's build(2001082806-win98) I was not able to reproduce this problem
on local folders with or without filters. I used the same name as you have
reported and did not see any problem.

This Problem is connected with another BUG already submitted. It happends when
somethings goes wrong with the renaming. e.g. if you rename it, but the messages
(or some) are lost (like in the BUG #97105). Then Mozilla reserves the original
name. At the next restart, a folder has those lost entries, but the folder name
ist random characters.
In a few words this Bug is solved when 97105 and 64463 are solved.

The folder was under a POP3 account. An helt 3 subfolders, where 2 of them
included moved files (moved by a filter and by hand) from the POP3 account where
the folder is part of.

if someone has problem to reproduce it. I tried it on Warpzilla 0.9.3 (what
means mozilla for os/2). I reproduced it with "Toy Factory" and "Classic".
1 Just go into manage bookmarks.
2 select a bookmark *there*.
3 rightclick it and select file bookmark from this context menu.
Even if you don't file it, by clicking abort in the dialog, you get a bigger
dialog next time.
Do steps 3 a few times so growing gets obvious. If after 20 times (in a row) of
doing this you dialog doesn't get as big (only vertical size) that it covers
your screen from the top to the bottom, you must use a realy high resolution ...

Reporter,
You are last comments in this bug is very confusing. Your last reproducible
steps have mentioned bookmarks. I don't understand what does this have to do
with in reproducing renaming folder issue?
