Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140130133743

Steps to reproduce:

I typed an sms and accidentally exited, probably by pressing the home button just below the space.
I then returned to the sms screen and finished writing my sms.

This is on an Inari phone

Actual results:

Until I do a restart, the recipient of said sms has in the sms text field always at the beginning the chunk of text that I wrote previously.

I hope this makes sense, I find it hard to explain this ;)

Expected results:

The text field should be empty
Hey Johannes !

Which version of Firefox OS do you use?
Could this be the new Draft feature ? (if yes, in the thread list, you'll see a little pencil on the left of your thread)

Hi Julien.

The version is B2G 1.4.0.0-prerelease and this would then be the new draft feature as there is a pencil ;)

I find it somewhat useless as I now have to always delete the phrase "Sorry, my mob" whenever I want to write an sms to that person.

Is this the desired behaviour? It should be cleared once the sms is sent...

Oh yes, now I remember Alexandre already reported this to me (but IRL, not in a bug).

This is definitely not the desired behaviour, thanks!

Glad to be of help and thanks for changing the title to something more fitting :)
Actually, I just saw that Alexandre already filed bug 970377 in the past, so I'm duping ;)

But thanks anyway!
