User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140211030201

Steps to reproduce:

I tried to reproduce step-by-step in
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-manage-my-firefox-sync-account#w_how-do-i-reset-my-sync-data

Actual results:

I'm using Mac (OSX Version 10.8.5).

I clicked on Nightly -> Preferences -> Sync Tab -> Manage (The label is just "Manage" and not "Manage Account")

The system send me to https://accounts.firefox.com/settings to sign in.

When I sign in, I just see two options: Sign out and Change Password

Expected results:

When select Manage Account should appear:

Select the action you want to take:

Recommended: Merge this computer's data with my Sync data
Replace all data on this computer with my Sync data
Replace all other devices with this computer's data
I can confirm this on MacOS X 10.8.5 with Nightly 30.01a.

That documentation is for the old Sync system - we're in the process of updating to a new one, and it doesn't have all of those features. We need to just fix that documentation.

Joni recently commented on the discussion for the "How do I manage my Firefox Sync account?": https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-do-i-manage-my-firefox-sync-account/discuss/4837#post-9344 with:

"Thanks for the heads up. We'll revisit archiving this article as we update the rest of the Firefox accounts articles."

I'm going to imply that that Michael and Joni will work in Firefox Sync/ Firefox Accounts articles soon.
Andrew is correct. We have a list of Firefox Sync/Accounts articles to update and this one is on it. I think we should have them done within the next two weeks.
Joni: awesome! Is https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-do-i-enable-add-sync on your list too? Can you post the list here? :)

Gavin, that article is archived so it won't appear in search results. The only way to get to it is by clicking on the URL.

Here's the list we're working on: https://docs.google.com/a/mozilla.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Amy0OSD97CR6dGxRTTVqUmNJUEVNZC1rY1dsSGVneEE&usp=drive_web#gid=9

We fell a little bit behind this week, but we'll be able to catch up next week.

That page is linked to directly from within Firefox (when add-on sync is disabled and you install an add-on).

So we need to fix it or change the in-product link.
Ah, I see. Michael Verdi and I are going through all the Sync articles tomorrow. I'll get back to you with an article to replace that in-product link. More updates tomorrow.
Bug 972524 is a specific issue for which we might want to have a SUMO article address specifically. Is that best tracked in a separate bug?

I meant bug 972585.

I've updated the article for Firefox 29: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-choose-what-types-information-sync-firefo?

If you view the article on a < fx29 browser, you'll still see the old Sync instructions. Please change the selector on the left to see the content that fx 29 users will see.

Regarding the add-ons sync article, I've unarchived it, although we have no plans to update it for fx29 because it's almost the same article as the one above. It was written when add-ons weren't included in the Firefox Sync preferences (I don't know how many versions ago), but we archived it when add-ons were added to the preferences.

Please let me know if there's anything else for this bug.
Joni, Gavin, can we close this?

If Gavin doesn't need anything else from SUMO for this bug, I'm okay with closing it.
