I tried printing the page first with my margins all set to 0.5 inches. First, I
could find no place in Mozilla to turn off the page header information (Page
name, number and URL) since the space it consumes does not seem to be taken into
account when formatting the page for printing. Second, I don't need border
lines framing in my printed page. (There is a dashed line surrounding the
printed web page.) It wastes ink and does nothing to help the printed page.
Third, margin settings in general seem to be guess work at best. With margins
all set to 0.5, I would, on select lines, end up with text truncated on the
right hand side and what should be a one page print turning into two with only
the header information printed to the second. With the top margin and right
margin set to zero, I no longer get the header information but still get some
truncation of the right hand side visible on the image in the web page graphic
on the top right (guest book).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to the suggested page
2.Print the page with margins all set to 0.5
3.
Actual Results: See description.
Expected Results: Printed the page as it appeared, formatting to fit withing
the printer page. 8.5x11 minus 0.5 margins all around is an image area of
7.5x10. Keep in mind that many printers cannot print to the very edge so
additional reduction may be necessary. (My Deskjet 660c cannot.) I would
imagine that this information should be available once the device is opened.

You can turn off the headers using the print preferences in prefs.js. See
http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/modules/libpref/src/init/all.js#196
(there is no UI for those yet, but it's coming).
I can reproduce the truncation and the blank second page problem with a trunk
linux build (2001-10-18-08). Looks like a table layout issue. Over to HTML
tables and setting status to NEW.

On win2k, I'm seeing a problem with the tall table skipping to the next page,
but no dataloss. That table contains a tall cell which contains the image and
text. The problem is that the cell block is returning a status=1 but a desired
height greater than the available height in (see comment below). This causes the
table to be put on the next page to prevent data loss. I'm not sure why the
block can't split in this case. -->attinasi

I turned on debugging output an additional level inside the cell block and saw
an available height of -195 toward the end. I wonder if this has anything to do
with the problem.
