+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #972136 +++

This is a followup to bug 972136. That bug was a 1.3+ blocker. We landed a fix on the 1.3 branch and closed it.

This followup is for landing the fix to master.  That was not done in the original bug to avoid creating conflicts with other pending patches.

I am sorry, but it should be fixed on v1.3. And now, this bug can still be reproduced on version  with Mozilla build ID: 20140208004002, which is the newest build we have.

This is the 1.4 specific fix of bug 972136 - each bug was split out separately for each relevant patch. bug 972136 is the bug you are interested in - it's already 1.3+.
