Details

STR 1. Navigate to URL on modern device (HTC One) using latest FF from android marketplace (27.0) 2. After the page loads, note framerate and refresh characteristics of animated gif. 3. Pinch-zoom so that animated gif fills screen. 4. Note that framerate drops to pathologically low level, and that successive frames are painted non-atomically (annoying glitch). Obviously, one expects fennec to be able to render an animated gif performantly on a modern GPU and quad-core CPU.
