It looks nice and smooth. I think that you could do something similar with zoom button, or at least its separators. http://fii.cz/uhnuzxfv customize/help/turn off buttons - you can see there is no space between mouse-over highlight and separator. http://fii.cz/zxgnnju - there is ugly space between highlight and separators.
Quick edit: same goes for "Edit Controls" button. Could be updated aswell.
