Loli - What happens on a 1.1 build? Trying to understand if this is a regression or not.

Hi, this is not a bug, the icon red informs the phone is on roaming. This icon advises that the automatic update is disabled.

(In reply to marina rodríguez [:mai] from comment #5) > Hi, > this is not a bug, the icon red informs the phone is on roaming. This icon > advises that the automatic update is disabled. But when you tap "Update" button this icon disappear in usage aplication and not disappear in utility try. This is correct?

(In reply to marina rodríguez [:mai] from comment #5) > Hi, > this is not a bug, the icon red informs the phone is on roaming. This icon > advises that the automatic update is disabled. Ok I cannot reproduce this bug as i do not have access the necessary prepaid SIM card here in Berlin to activate this functionality. However based on the information in this bug I would say that both the visual language and the UX are possibly not correct here. referencing attachment 8377083 [details]: Firstly I would ask from a UX PoV how does the user know that the red icon indicates that the phone is on roaming and that automatic update is disabled? is there any interaction with the icon that gives the user a more detailed explanation? and is the icon repeated anywhere within the CC app itself when the phone is in roaming? If so what does the interface look like? Secondly the icon style (red with an exclamation mark) itself gives the impression that the Cost Control app is in a state of error. From the information on the bug I dont believe that the CC app is in a state of error when the phone is roaming, therefore at the moment i would question the visual treatment demonstrated in attachment 8377083 [details]. At the moment when i look at this screenshot in isolation i would say that the red icon is both potentially insufficient and inaccurate indication of state. Are there any wireframes available for this? ni? to maria and Lili to give me more information on the behaviour of the CC app and associated entry in the notification tray in this state here so i can give more accurate guidance. (In reply to Loli from comment #6) > > But when you tap "Update" button this icon disappear in usage aplication and > not disappear in utility try. This is correct? does the update functionally work when the phone is roaming? is there any possibility that you could provide a video of this behaviour so i can have a clearer picture please. ni? to loli clearing ni? to rafa as i am dealing with this now

I've attached the page 48 of the latest UX specification of CC to explain the Roaming scenario. You're right, the icon style (red with an exclamation mark) is used to remark an error. The CC app considers an error when the application can not refresh its data (like AirplaneMode, no coverage, some cases of roaming,..) These cases are explained on the page 14 of the CC specification. When an error occurs, (page 15) this is the expected behavior: * Error cases never double, they show one at a time, allowing the user to act on one error at a time. * If a user acts on an error, it should disappear until user returns to the application if that error is still pertinent Don't forget Loli is in Roaming and could be problems because of it with the updates. I hope this information could help you, Ayman Regards
