According to QA review of geolocation, it looks like the permission prompt is broken on 8.*.

Is this a dupe of bug 970112?

What other platforms have they tested? According to bug 973854 this is also broken on Windows 7.
Is this a recent regression as reported in bug 970112? Personally I can reproduce this bug in the official Firefox 27.0.1 build on Windows 8.1, as well as official and unofficial builds of Aurora and Beta on the same machine. However, I can *not* reproduce this in an unofficial mozilla-central build from last week...
