I couldn't reproduce while I was on gmail with hangouts signed in and someone wrote me on the chat, FF 30.0a1(2014-02-25), win 7 x64.

This happens usually if you have BOTH gmail and google plus opened and the tabs are open for quite a long time, the problem appears in a CLEAN profile

Happens to me on Google Plus, often it just causes FF to freeze completley.
The only way i've been able to browse G+ without constant crashing or error messages related to talkgadget (Google hangouts) has been to use AdBlockPlus to block EVERYTHING from talkgadget.google.com
(Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (6.1))
Also happens on my GF's computer. and my office computer.
happens on load of ANY G+ page, even if FF has just been fresh installed, and its the only tab open.

and because there's no edit button, here's more info in a separate post.
This has been occurring since hangouts replaced google Talk.
I'm running FF 28.0
my "solution" unfortunately disables Hangouts from working at all. (Which means i can only use it on my Androids)
and, here's the kicker. the crashes get more common, and lockups last longer when i have more hangouts / conversations opened.
i constantly have many hangouts going at once, some have up to 50 people in them.
I'm assuming it's locking up trying to load all my open convos.

Thanks for the tip. Adding a filter with talkgadget.google.com work around this bug.
