Details
We are likely to need help providing six images in the correct format to PR Newswire between now and Sunday 24th February, possibly submitting new ones after initial submission if there are corrections from partners. This will require a member of the creative team to be on call through the weekend. Here are the specs:
High res images ; optimal specs are 9 inches on the longest side at 300 DPI (dots per inch). Prefer JPG or JPEG files, but their multimedia team can work with other formats (PNG, GIF, etc.).

Hi there - let me know who will be my point person on this if we have requests after end of day pacific on Friday.

Assigning this to Matt. Please keep us posted on the status of the images, and please be very specific about the needs for each.
Is this resizing only, or will additional work be needed as well? Wanted to check on this.

Thanks John and thanks Matt. We won't know whether additional work is needed beyond resizing until we get the images from partners today or tomorrow. I will be very specific about what we need.

Sending three images by wetransfer now.
Specs needed: High res images ; optimal specs are 9 inches on the longest side at 300 DPI (dots per inch). Prefer JPG or JPEG files, but their multimedia team can work with other formats (PNG, GIF, etc.).
Instructions per image:
The Firefox OS Flame and Alcatel images sent by wetransfer do not need correcting, just making sure they fit the specs above.
For the ZTE Open C one, please crop to the same dimensions to the Alcatel One Touch Fire C one and unless that automatically removes the words 'Open C', remove those.

Thanks Justin. I am currently taking a look at the 3 images you passed along. Hoping you can confirm whether or not the 9 inches in height is a must for all images? The Alcatel image is currently at 6.3 inches high at 300 dpi. Increasing this to a height of 9 inches would cause the image to degrade a bit. For the ZTE Open C image - this image is quite a bit smaller and would also degrade at the 9in/300dpi level. I can make the ZTE fit within a space of 9inches high but that would mean the phone itself would be surrounded by quite a bit of the blue background space...which could actually work nicely. It may be better to show you what I mean than explain...

Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the quick turnaround. I spoke to PR Newswire and they said less than 9 inches is fine if it means the image is not degraded.
I took a look at the ones in the file and would not go for the one of the ZTE with more blue background space, as nice as it is on its own it would look a bit inconsistent alongside the TCL, which it's going to.
Let me know then if the three you put in the dropbox (aside from the ZTE with more space round it) are now at the required specs?

Also if it's possible to resize the ZTE Open C (pale blue) so that the phones are closer to the edge of the screen, like the Flame and TCL, that would be ideal.
I'd REALLY prefer that none of the devices actually touch the edge of the image but I'm not sure if you can make that happen by adding a tiny bit more white and grey space around the Flame and TCL respectively?
Justin
Thanks for the feedback. Please hold off on the ones I've sent via Dropbox. I will update the Flame and TCL to have a bit more white space around the edges to give breathing room. Also, I can crop the ZTE out of the blue background and place on a white background with a similar white border.

Will do. That sounds good re the white background. If possible please text me when you're done as I'm heading to a kid's birthday party - 415 297 8236 - with computer!

Justin, here is an updated dropbox link with the latest images. All as jpgs on a white background with a bit of padding around the devices.

Hi Justin, here are the links to the final images. There are a few that I noticed were too small in size to meet the consistency of the others, but for the most part all images are around 6 inches high at 300 dpi. Let me know what you think.
