List Name: Mozilla-AppDevAlliance List Admin: dtate@mozilla.com Short Description: A place for Mozillians helping build a connected product / user experience for app developers. Long Description: The purpose of this list is to have a way to communicate across different teams in Mozilla that touch app developers. This includes stakeholders from the Dev Relations, Dev Tools, marketplace, BD, Firefox OS - basically, anyone who wants to discuss how to create a connected product / user experience for app developers across Mozilla. This includes but is not limited to our user research and app dev profiling efforts. Justification / Special Instructions:
Hi Diane, There are two existing groups for the discussion of web apps and the ecosystem around them - mozilla.webapps and mozilla.dev.webapps. My understanding is that Caitlin Galimidi wishes to merge them. Wouldn't that existing group be suitable for the discussions you want to have? Gerv
yeah - we discussed thsi before she went on leave (she is out until ~March 10). I wasn't aware these other groups existed. What we discussed was me creating a dist list which I did -- AppDev-Alliance@mozilla.org -- but sadly someone pointed out that an industry group of the same name exists. So in the interim, I'd love to simply migrate that dist list over to a new name as I've added a bunch of names to > new name would simply be "MozAppDev-Alliance@" -- is THAT possible? Thx Gerv.
Hi Diane, If all you want is a new (or changes to a) mailing list @mozilla.org, then Service Now is the place to ask for changes to that system. This Bugzilla component is for Discussion Forums, like those listed here: https://www.mozilla.org/about/forums/ These are newsgroup/Google Group/mailing list triples, and the mailing lists are @lists.mozilla.org, not @mozilla.org.
