In response to Comment 2 Jason Smith [:jsmith] 2014-02-24 20:47:43 PST QA Wanted to confirm this on the latest 1.3 build. This issue has been confirmed on the latest 1.3 build with below Environmental Variables as stop button ended all music playing. Device: Buri 1.3 MOZ BuildID: 20140225004004 Gaia: 6e883bde818d4d53aef7b5b075b4b34267918360 Gecko: e597280f9300 Version: 28.0 Base Image: v1.2-device.cfg

comment 3 doesn't align with the comment 0's STR. Could you please clarify? This bug is talking about overlapping audio when previewing a song from the music app via MMS while music is playing in the background from the music app.

(In reply to Jason Smith [:jsmith] from comment #4) > comment 3 doesn't align with the comment 0's STR. Could you please clarify? > This bug is talking about overlapping audio when previewing a song from the > music app via MMS while music is playing in the background from the music > app. When I go to Music Player and play a music item, then go to Messages and select a music attachment to play, overlapping audio occurs on the latest 1.3 build.

There is not a regression window for this issue. I was able to reproduce the issue following the STR in Comment 0 on the very first available 1.3 build of 09-19-2013. When I go to Music Player and play a music item, then go to Messages and select a music attachment to play, overlapping audio occurs. I was also able to reproduce the issue following the STR in Comment 0 on the very first available 1.2 build of 06-21-2013. When I go to Music Player and play a music item, then go to Messages and select a music attachment to play, overlapping audio occurs. If you require Environmental Variables for the 1.3 build and/or 1.2 build range or need an investigation with the 1.1 build, please Need Info me and I will deliver the information.
Can we check if this reproduces on 1.1 again?

Not blocking still for the same reason as comment 10.

Dears, It is just produced at the scenario that play music in background and play another music in foreground. All other scenarios are ok: Background FM Forground Music player/Video player/Camera recording Background Music Player Forground Video player/Camera recording So it's just problem of music player, why not fix it?
(In reply to Jack Liu from comment #12) > Dears, > > It is just produced at the scenario that play music in background and play > another music in foreground. > > All other scenarios are ok: > > Background FM Forground Music player/Video player/Camera > recording > Background Music Player Forground Video player/Camera recording > > So it's just problem of music player, why not fix it? That's a good point, but I don't think we hold a release on this though.
Bug 894744 has a workaround and fixed on all branches but 1.3, if 1.3 want this then uplift it.
