bug 974119 is implementing new viewfinder sizing logic. I've found that on some devices, switching between the pictureSizes (and thus preview sizes) can crash the camera app. Steps to reproduce (Hamachi/Helix): 1. Open settings menu 2. Go to the picture resolution option 3. Toggle between picture sizes in quick succession untill camera app crashes Sometime the app will not be able to startup again without crashing. A full restart is needed to recover.
Can you attach the log if you find any sign of gecko crashes?
