Regularly we see community people wanting to download and run desktopb2g builds to help out with Gaia tasks, either dev or QA or just to satisfy their own curiosity.
However in: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/ it's just a raw directory with no information at all.
Community don't have a clue whether to download multi or multi-localizer or tests.zip. I don't even know what half of that stuff is. Then there's all the same again inside en-US/ directory.
We need a better entry point for community looking to get on board with desktopb2g.
nightly.mo site would suit it perfectly.

I'm not sure who owns nightly.m.o...but this looks like the right component. Laura, do you know?

The http://nightly.mozilla.org website is owned by the Web Productions team and we sometimes make changes to it. We had plans in the future to pull it all into Bedrock, but we are focused on other projects now.
The code for the website is here:
https://github.com/mozilla/nocturnal/
Does someone want to do a pull request?

I'll give it a shot. I'll throw it back if I can't get something up in a reasonable time.

This raises 2 new questions:
1. Ambiguity of "Desktop" and "Mobile" which probably should be renamed to "Desktop Firefox" and "Mobile Firefox" respectively.
2. Ambiguity between device Boot2Gecko and desktopb2g.
Are we allowed some tolerance in UX when the user is knowingly downloading nightly/experimental builds?

Thumbs up from me.
If someone familiar with the codebase takes look at the PR and approves I don't see any issues.
Historically this looks to have been tofumatt or pmac. Zac I would mention their github username in the comment of the PR request so they know to take a look.

I think the site is pretty clearly all about Firefox. Nightly is mostly about Firefox as far as I know. Thunderbird is "Daily" for example.

This is a bit more confusing. Perhaps the title should be "Desktop Boot2Gecko"? Nightly builds of the device version are available elsewhere, but there's no mention of that here.

We are indeed, but I think you're right that we should at least be clear when referring to B2G that we mean "for the desktop".

Agree with this so I changed the label to "Desktop Boot2Gecko"
