I'm using build 2001082803
The site works just fine in other browsers.

If it's any help Netcraft says this site is running AppleShare IP File Server
5.0 on MacOS.

I can't reproduce this on the given URL using Build 2001082803 on Windows 95.

Confirming on win2k 2001083008
There's no mention of restrictions on User-Agent length in either the http1.0 or
the http1.1 rfc (this server only supports the former), so this may be a case of
evangelism.
In my case the User-Agent header is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0;
en-US; rv:0.9.3+) Gecko/20010830

We're > 64 bytes. If this is all appleshare IP servers, then we need to 
evangalise apple. Can someone with an appleshare IP server confirm that?

right, RFC2616 doesn't restrict the length of a user-agent string.
