Metrics has a useful setup:  My people pages (http://people.mozilla.org/~klahnakoski/es/) are mirrored on their server (https://metrics.mozilla.com/bugzilla-analysis/) and their ES server (http://elasticsearch8.metrics.scl3.mozilla.com:9200) is also mirrored (https://metrics.mozilla.com/bugzilla-analysis-es).  This setup is useful because the mirrors are protected by LDAP, and do not require VPN connections.

Can we do the same for the private cluster?

Kyle: not clear what's needed here, or if the new VPN solves this. Also not sure people.m.o is the right place for this. I suggest you go talk to cturra and reopen or open a more specific bug as needed.
