1. Using the the new Google Maps, load this map of SF: https://www.google.com/maps/@37.7577,-122.4376,12z
RESULT:
Most of the map is black because many map tiles did not load. See the attached screenshot.
This is a recent regression in Nightly 30. The map loads correctly in Aurora 29. This bug looks similar to bug 885325, but that bug was reported for Firefox 24 and apparently fixed in Firefox 25.

Yes, I am probably seeing a different manifestation of the same bug.
I bisected this regression to the following mozilla-inbound pushlog on Nightly 30 build 2014-02-22, which is a subset of the mozilla-central regression range in bug 975824 comment 0.

It is fixed by that one (tried with build of https://hg.mozilla.org/try/rev/e7453a55b532).
