Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the camera
2. Go to video mode
3. Start video recording
4. Close the camera app

Video recording stops after closing the camera but a red dot is displayed on the status bar. (video attached)

Expected result:

The recording red dot shouldn't be displayed because video recording stops when closing the camera.

That's not right. When a video recording ends, you get a dimmed out red dot seen in the status bar that lasts 5 seconds. This is to indicate that a recording ended recently. Talk to Jacqueline more about this if you need rationale why - she can clarify the UX need here. 

The problem I was talking about actually showed the camera recording with a light red dot persisting in the status bar, which meant that recording was still active.

What's written here however is expected behavior.

Actually I'm wrong. We changed that design decision later on in bug 922853 per a discussion with security - we shouldn't be having a dimmed out dot at all. Both gUM & camera recording use the same UX, so this is a dupe of bug 922853.
