97744 - Repetitive reports when going off line

When you go offline from a dial up connection the mailclient will report an
unknown error 80004005 for each and every newsserver that is in your
mailfolders. One report seems enough to me. (That is I get the report three
times, which happens to be the amount of newsservers I am subscribed to. This
bug has been around for many many months.

Reporter: Please include your BuildID in bug reports.

For future bug reports, I would recommend using the Bugzilla Helper:

(among other things, that automagically adds your BuildID)

Just to clarify: you were just disconnecting the dial-up session and not
utilizing our mail/news Offline feature, right?

To Laurel: correct, if I use the offline feature, none of the three errors are
reported, which is correct. I prefer however to just cut the connection, if that
would result in only one connection lost report, not three identical messages.

To Alex: I will try 0.9.4 when it is out, or was there a specific change made to
the code recently to deal with this?

H: I would recommend that you try one of the more recent builds anyhow (link
above). Like the proverbial butterfly in chaos theory, even a small code change
can sometimes make a big impact elsewhere in the program.

Considering that your build is a month old, a lot can happen in a month.
