Hi Eric and Laura-

Matej, Cmore, Holly and I all met and would like to propose testing how following 2 versions of copy for the /new download page impact download conversions starting April 29:

Test 1:  [headline] There's never been a better time 
[subhead] 3 proof points (Proudly non-profit | Answers only to you | For a free, open Web) 
with current download button

Test 2:  [headline] Choose Firefox 
[subhead] There's never been a better time 
with current download button

Could you please review and provide comments on this copy by EOD Thursday, March 20?  This copy needs to be coded for localization to begin by April 1.

Hi folks - these are some interesting variations to test. 

Matej - I'm wondering why we chose not to integrate this touch-point with the overarching Firefox positioning of Fast, Flexible, Trusted. Let's discuss in person next time we meet to review Australis assets. 

Let's also be sure to change the product graphic.

The direction for this page was on a sketch that came out of a meeting that Eric had with Pete and Mary Ellen (not sure if you were also in that). The rough copy on that was:

HEADLINE
There's never been a better time OR Now is a great time for Firefox

COPY
Choose the only independent, non-profit browser that answers to no one but you.

This was my attempt to distill that into something I thought would work on this page, but I'll admit I was also wondering why it didn't tie back to fast, flexible, trusted.

Let's chat more in our meeting and figure it out.
