Instead of asking carriers to provide an image to choose the network indicators, I think we can reuse operatorResources.data.icon that already knows what they want to use.
And the image we ship in Gaia would contain all possible variations.
I don't understand the purpose of this bug. Bug 976951 already uses that setting to load the data network icons
