The despegar.com.ar site is set up to redirect mobile browsers to their mobile site.

Unfortunately, it does not recognise Firefox OS devices as smartphones. Here's some HTTP traffic analysis that shows how their server-side detection works:

Firefox Android and Safari on iPhone are redirected to http://m.despegar.com.ar, Firefox OS not redirected

Selected HTTP response headers (Firefox OS, Firefox on Android, Safari on iPhone):

Response for: 'Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:18.1) Gecko/18.1 Firefox/18.1'
Response Status: 200
content-length: 33197
content-type: text/html;charset=UTF-8

Response for: 'Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Mobile; rv:26.0) Gecko/26.0 Firefox/26.0'
Response Status: 301
location: http://m.despegar.com.ar
content-length: 0

Response for: 'Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 6_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/536.26 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/10A5376e Safari/8536.25'
Response Status: 301
location: http://m.despegar.com.ar
content-length: 0
This bug is now fully analysed and anyone in the Mozilla community is welcome to reach out (politely! ;)) to despegar.com.ar.

The UI looks very different from whan an iPhone gets.
I tried to search for flights from Buenos Aires to Oslo, and my Flame crashed and restarted :-o That's a separate issue, naturally, and I'll report it as such. From a tech evangelism perspective I'll ask Gabriela: do you think this site works well enough now? If the version we get appears a lot slower/worse than the iPhone one we should consider reopening this issue. If you think it's fine as is, that would be great news ;) but if not feel free to suggest reopening the bug.

Hallvord,
This is what I get on the home page for the site, which looks ok to me. The Web site is responsive.

On iOS, Chrome Mobile, Firefox Android, we receive indeed a version with squares after being redirected to http://m.despegar.com.ar/
The version with blue squares is also working on Firefox OS.

Booking from Buenos Aeres to Tokyo is working better ;) on a Flame. No crash.
Maybe chance.
Ah. Now I want to fly to Buenos Aires.. ;)

I agree the UI is not bad - I'll wait for some local testing and opinions, like if they think most people will be used to the UI the iPhone gets and the responsive UI will feel slower, we may still have to nag them a bit.
The site looks fine in my Flame, it's not directed to the mobile one though.

I tried to book a room at a hotel I know in a little riverside town. Despegar shows there are 58 hotels but it lets you book only 3 of them. The one I know is not available in the list though it's one of the best located hotels in the town.

Sorry, I should have added this before:

The booking procedure seemed to work correctly.

When I mention desktop site I mean the URL isn't the mobile one starting "m." The displayed site is very similar to the desktop one but it's not exactly the same.

Does it, in your opinion look and work well enough on the Flame?

They may be in the process of making the Desktopy site responsive and removing the m.despegar site completely. We're seing lots of sites do that now (which is a great thing!). If you think whatever content the Flame gets works OK, we'll celebrate and consider this done ;)

This sounds a bit odd - is it available on the desktop? If the data you get on the Flame seems incomplete it's best to report a new bug with details..

No, it's not available on the desktop either. I think it may not be a bug, just the site displaying the hotels that have some kind of agreement with the Despegar company. I think this because the desktop site also mentions 58 hotels but lets you book only 3 of them. And there seems to be no 3, 2 or 1 stars hotels when I know for sure there are plenty of them.

The booking process seems to work fine.
Cool, so we say this is OK now. Another small step towards a cross-device compatible web :)
