The change to the log message appears to have been lost in the last merge. The null-check is there protecting the ProvideCameraFrame() call.

That logging should just go away, it's pretty useless and hides real errors. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=877954 gets rid of it.
