Hi, We are looking to launch a new marketplace newsletter to be sent to Marketplace users. Timeline- April 2014 Localization- ES and EN We are proposing to use the existing MP welcome template with some modifications but would welcome your feedback on other changes to help meet the below goals and the types of content we'll be showcasing. The goals are: 1. To promote apps around a specific theme- starter kit, apps for World cup 2. Link to specific categories- games, new, popular 3. Announce new MP programs (i.e. community curation) or features 4. Invite users to join MP social channels (FB, twitter) Revisions to attached template: 1. header (depend on bug 978950) 2. show more apps (grid of 6 apps) 3. Marketplace look and feel 4. coded to support ES and EN Questions: 1. Can this be built to support dynamic content needs? for example if we were to have no top message that template will show only grid of promoted apps? 2. Keeping in mind our audience and target markets we would like to make this as "light" as possible avoiding heavy graphics Thanks!

Thanks Niran! Creative team, here's the current Firefox & You PSD in case it's helpful: https://www.dropbox.com/s/35xad7z1v472gu4/Firefox%26You_Newsletter_Redesign_Apr2013.psd (In reply to namir@mozilla.com from comment #0) > Questions: > 1. Can this be built to support dynamic content needs? for example if we > were to have no top message that template will show only grid of promoted > apps? Once the creative design is in place, we'll get it sliced and coded into HTML with individual sections easily able to be removed from newsletter to newsletter. It will be good to have examples of what the newsletter would look like with certain sections removed. > 2. Keeping in mind our audience and target markets we would like to make > this as "light" as possible avoiding heavy graphics +1 Part of keeping the newsletter "light" will also be making sure we don't get too fancy with nested tables (like the intro section in Firefox & You). It might be better to have one big white box area and have the images simply align left or right via code instead of using tables. > > > Thanks!

Hi Niran, When do you need the final newsletter design by? Is there a specific date in April you had in mind or it just needs to be done by the end of the month? Thanks!

I'm assigning this over to Matt. Once we have the timing, he'll be able to prioritize into his list of projects.

Hi Jen, We wanted to launch the newsletter early April so I would like to have design April 1st if possible. Also to clarify, we were thinking of using the existing Marketplace welcome message (modified to support 3 additional featured apps) and not the Firefox and You template as Jess recommended as we don't have a lot of content right now. @ Scott, pls weigh in if you want to use the Firefox and You template.

Thanks, Niran. We'll look forward to seeing the new request when you're ready. One quick note - make sure to use the Brand Engagement Initiation form (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/form.creative) to submit the new project. Cheers.
