Prior to bug 847518 landing, ctrl+click would open any link in the default browser. We should restore this functionality, since web pages can do all kinds of things to muck with links. The user should always have a way to open a link in the place of their choosing.

Arghh, this just keeps getting worse. I don't know what happened, but as of the last couple of days, no links of any kind open up in either new windows nor in system default browser.

The installer API changed a few days ago (bug 898647). Maybe you need to update the addon again?

Per bug 1238079, we're going to disable the desktop web runtime and remove it from the codebase, so we won't fix these bugs in it.
