98048 - Newsgroup count not updated automatcally

When connecting to a newsgroup server, the news count is only updated after a 
click on the updatd group. I would expect the count to be updated immedately. 
Tested on snapshot 20010831 with a leafnode proxy.

I think that this is the same thing that bug 83860, so it should be dupped
against Bug 34406 although its summary is: "Unread counts different between
server and dialog.", and this happens with the total counts.

Using Windows 2000 with build 2001-09-08-08, my newsgroup unread counts for 
news://news.mozilla.org are getting updated as soon as I launch the mail 
client.  Thommie, can you comment on whether this is now working for you, 
please?  We had an issue where nothing in the folder pane was getting counts 
updated, but that has since been fixed.  Thanks.

Updating msg counts seem to be ok now; tested on daily build from 12.9.2001. By
the way, I had to file a new bug for the font stuff today ;-(

Using build 2001-09-13-03 on Windows 2000, and newsgroup:
news://news.mozilla.org/netscape.public.test, posting a message, exiting,
waiting a while, and re-launching Mozilla updated the unread count from 171 to
173 (which isn't correct, but it adjusted itself when I clicked on the server,
and that's a different bug).  At least the code is now updating itself
automatically, which is what this bug was filed for.

Verified FIXED.

Stephen, just re-tested this on Mozilla 0.9.5+
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011010. 
Seems as if this is still not complete:
When marking a newsgroup "Read" through menu on right mouse button "MArk 
newsgroup read", the msgs change their status immediately. But when I re-
connect, the old status (-> unread) of the same msgs appears again.

(But maybe this should be filed as annother bug??)
