SUMOMO had the problem, SUMO clearly still has it, so here I go with another bug.
Much is written about the need for URLs to be sanitised to remove locale specifics etc., and for quite valid reasons. Hand crafting URLs in a support situation is not really a sensible option however, not when we have computers more than capable of undertaking that sanitising for us in a reliable and predictable way.
Every page in SUMO should have a "get support URL button, link or whatever that loads a suitable sanitised URL to the clipboard for use in forums or support articles. I do not mean the long winded manual process using bitly. I mean I have the article, now for a url to post to the appropriate forum or into the email I am composing.

I think that's a great idea. probably not the highest priority, since copy pasting the bitly link should not take much more time than just clicking a button, but certainly something for the backlog. Joni is the ultimate judge here though.
