So here is what happens for me: * Have lockscreen with keycode * Notification comes in and screen goes on * My leg touches screen and launches camera * ... * Batter drained If the screen goes on via a notification we should show the CAMERA <===> UNLOCK slider instead of jumping right into the keycode screen. That way we can't unlock the phone this way (related bug 907112).

I feel ya. Can we use the proximity sensor for this issue? That would make it possibly to turn on the screen when the phone is on the table and not turn on the screen if the phone is near body parts.
Yeah, I would like that, but there is no 'get proximity distance' function right now.
Interesting. So the mechanism for turning off the screen during calls is purely hardware driven? Anyway, the problem is fixed for me since 2.1, as there is no longer a quick camera button when you activate the keycode for the lockscreen.
